Yes money. Yes!

Before anything, let me just make a few things clear..

1. Yes, money doesn't buy happiness
2. Money doesn't buy family or real friends (don't try be clever, you know what I mean)
3. Money stays in the world when you die.
4. You and I know people who are not rich but live happy lives.
I could go on but basically,
5. Money can't buy the things that, at the end of the day (or your life) are worth living for.

I agree, and believe in that 101%!

But lets face it.
Money (seriously) drives what we know today as our society. It affords us the lifestyle that's currently (or not if you're living the life already) still a dream in our imaginative minds. It gives us the freedom to travel, to wear what we want, eat where we want, eat what we want, look and smell how we want... the freedom to do whatever it is we want to do!
That's the reality this world!

"I don't wanna be rich. I just wanna live a comfortable life."
That's what I said when the conversations about money were had because there was a stigma attached to the word "rich". It seemed as though all you were was superficial and shallow if you ever dared to be rich.

Then I grew up, started talking to smarter people and realised that I need to be financially free. I've gotta have money to spend money on my "comfortable live". I've gotta be rich!

From then on I vowed to always believe that wealth and happiness are not mutually exclusive, wealth and a life centred around morals and values are not mutually exclusive, and most importantly, that wealth doesn't have the power to change who am unless I allow it.

So yes..

I WANT TO BE RICH!
Rephrase...
I WILL BE FINANCIALLY FREE!

  1. this is a very interesting topic. I've also fallen victim to the stigma but I can honestly say, in all my wildest dreams I am financially freeeeee!
